In this weeks discussion, we look at what it means to feel stuck in life. Have any of you felt like you have been in a rut lately? Maybe you have been struggling to wake up or stay focussed. It's very easy for life to place challenges in front of us and many of us soldier through however there may come a time when you wake up and realise that you don't recognise who you are and you no longer feel motivated or interested in life itself. When we get here we keep to ourselves and pretend that it will go away or that we "have it all under control". But do we?
Well, this is where our community comes in. We would like to open up the discussion on the possible tips and tricks that have helped some of us to keep going.Â
I will go first, one thing that I found helps is planning the day ahead. If I wake up and find that I have tasks set for the day, my mind feels lighter and I feel like I have something to look forward to or at least I have something to do. That helps give me energy, even if minimal but it is enough to give me the will to get up. My next thing is I go straight to the bathroom and put on the shower. I find that water makes me feel refreshed and revived. Once I am out of my slumber mode my mind already feels like I can do something to keep that feeling. For me, a warm glass of water is the first thing I consume after brushing my teeth and let me tell you, just taking a sip and feeling it sooth my throat. That is an experience I take a moment to enjoy, I take deep breathes between each sip and try take in as much morning air as possible. Now those are just a few things that help me get started.Â
What is one morning tip, trick or routine that you use to help increase your energy levels when you are feeling down and like you don't want to do anything or have lost purpose in life. And for those members who have none, is there any tip from the community which you would like to try or have tried?
This is a very interesting topic, often we don't even realise how sluggish we get. I personally prefer to start my morning off with a reading. I feel that reading a good book helps.
Something I recently took up, is waking up and going outside for some fresh air. Ofcourse I do a little bit of some stretching 😊 😊Â
